2007.05.17. Championship Game doesn't dissapointDieppe victorious over Kent-Sud in overtime
The Dieppe / Memramcook Vedettes captured the honours of the Maritime High School Ringette League during the championship game, which was held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Shediac arena in front of approximately 400 cheering fans. The Vedettes were victorious in an exceptional game over the Clément-Cormier Cavalières by a score of 5-4.
Martine Cormier gave her team the victory by scoring the winning goal. She was also credited with another goal and had two assists for the game.
Véronic LeBlanc scored the other three goals for the team and also had an assist.
As for Clément-Cormier, Dominique Privé scored three goals and Marilyn Doucet scored the tying goal forcing the game into overtime.
The winning team was led by Manon Cormier and Lyne McGraw while Claude Doucet coached Clément-Cormier.
The Maritime High School Ringette League is a two-year pilot project that could lead to the establishment of a permanent league at the high school level.
2007.05.11. Impressive End of Regular Season
The fans were treated to an exciting game yesterday evening in Memramcook. It was a fast pace game between Dieppe / Memramcook and Kent Sud. Both teams came to win and showed it through their skills and determination. The two teams traded goals throughout the first period. In the last five minutes of the second period, Kent Sud took a 5-3 lead. However, Dieppe / Memramcook didn't give up and rallied back to tie 6-6 with 23 seconds left in the game.
With four games finishing with a tie score, winning the Championship title will require teams to play at their best and fans should expect all games to be nail biters. Click here for the playoffs schedule.
2007.05.08Tight Race to the Finish
The inaugural Maritime High School Ringette League season is almost over and the championship race is a tight one. With the semi finals coming up this weekend, the Dieppe / Memramcook Vedettes are in the lead with 13 points, Kent Sud and Shediac are a close second and third with respectively 11 and 10 points. Dieppe / Memramcook and Kent Sud still have a game to play before the semi-finals, which will impact the final standings. Despite not getting a single point, the Riverview Devil Rays are still quite enthusiastic and remain positive about the league. The players were able to further develop their abilities and will be ready for next year. Scores for all games can be seen here.

2007.04.20Mathieu-Martin over Louis-J.-Robichaud
LJR first home game was held yesterday evening in front of an enthusiastic crowd of about 70 fans. It was a tight game but MM was able to take the lead and win by a score of 4-3.
2007.04.19Excellent results for NB teams
The NB southeast tweens (at the Tween Eastern Canadian Championships, on April 8th) and the NB juniors (at the Canadian Ringette Championships, on April 15th) both earn silver medal for their province. See here for further information.
2007.04.17Clément-Cormier (Bouctouche) defeats Riverview
In their home opener, the Riverview Devil Rays were handily beaten by Clément-Cormier by a score of 8-1. Full game report here.

2007.04.10the first ever league game is in the books
The first ever game of the MRL fittingly ended in a draw: a 3-3 tie between the teams from Bouctouche (CC) and Shédiac (LJR). Game scores are updated on the schedule page here.

After months of preparation, the 2007 Maritime High School Ringette League kicked off today with tryouts for all four teams.
