The Riverview Devil Rays home opener is now in the books.

Clement Cormier came out on top 8-1 in a one sided battle and was led by an outstanding performance by #41 Dominique Privé.

Despite the loss, the Devil Rays showed the capacity crowd on hand that high school ringette is here to stay. Building on small successes, Devil Ray Captain Erin MacDiarmid scored the loan goal for the home team.

An estimated crowd of nearly 150 cheered for their favorites and enjoyed an entertaining evening of competitive sport. Winner of the Ipod Shuffle was Nana McKay with the Greco 50/50 ($58 + a hot pizza from Greco given out at the game) being won by Debbie Field.

Next home game in Riverview is Monday April 23rd at 8:30.

2007.04.12Riverview Red Devils tryouts a success

The Riverview Devil Rays had their tryouts two weeks ago. More than 20 girls signed up and came prepared to battle for a position on the squad.

Coach Kenny, along with Assistants Steve Cameron & Kelly Campbell led the girls through a process of skills, skating & scrimmaging.

Under the guidance of Rick Brennan, a squad of 14 girls were selected and invited to be the very first Riverview Devil Rays. Our first game is on the 16th at the Byron Dobson versus Clement Cormier.
