2008.04.10Message from Roxanne Reeves, MRL Honorary Chair

I am very privileged to act as Honorary Chair of this year’s Maritime Ringette League activities.

Ringette is a truly Canadian game and New Brunswick is now a leader in ringette at the high school level.

The inaugural season of the Maritime Ringette League saw ringette being played at the high school level for the first time in New Brunswick and Canada. I want to congratulate the four original teams from Shediac, Bouctouche, Dieppe and Riverview. I’m very pleased that four new teams have joined the MRL this season from Moncton, Fredericton and Bathurst. These young women are role models to their communities in that they are demonstrating a balanced life – family, sports and academics.

As Honorary Chair, I want to congratulate the Maritime Ringette League on their second season and wish all players, coaches and organizers a wonderful and successful 2008!
